About Us

SJD Electrical is a medium-sized electrical contractor delivering services to large and small organisations in SE Queensland to exceptional standards of customer satisfaction. The team of fully licensed and experienced electricians have worked on complex electrical systems including construction, fit out and powering in nursing homes including duress signalling systems, high rise unit blocks, office blocks, pubs and clubs, and Council buildings. We have ongoing contracts with Local Councils, Education Facilities and Government Bodies.

We believe our growth to date and future desired growth is through the application of our core values by our people who are recruited, inducted and developed to be ambassadors of SJD delivering outstanding service and value for money to our customers.

Owner/ Director, Sean Dunglison, has built a team that allows him to maintain his management focus on customer liaison and delivery performance to ensure that SJD continues to build on its reputation for quality and value for money.

Innovation

The business has a progressive outlook to the incorporation of new technologies to drive effective solutions and improvements for customers. We use a Project Planner called SIMPRO which is a specialised computer program specifically for electrical contractors to administer and oversee successful contract management processes. This system provides our field staff with a mobile solution (using hand held tablet devices) to update times, materials and details used for each job without having to travel to and from the office to pick up and drop off paperwork. This system is highly beneficial to our business and our clients by instantly providing a snap shot of every quote, every project and every maintenance or service job.

People Philosophy

Our core values are centred on people and we recruit those whose attitude to work we see to be compatible and in tune with our values. We inform, involve, coach and recognise our people, giving them the opportunity to shine. Through our people we aim to do the job well first time. Qualifications are kept current and we support the development of new licensed electricians through the apprenticeship scheme. We encourage our people to bring new ideas to continuously improve the way we deliver a quality result for the customer.

We are compliant with the Environmental Management System ISO 14001. We are committed to our own sustainability as a business but we also have a focus on corporate, community and environmental sustainability. We believe in continual improvement and the principles of quality management. We have fully developed and working policies and plans on OH&S, Induction & Safety, Risk Assessment, Accidents and Incidents and Work Method Statements.

Our management team will ensure that we put in place the strategies, initiatives and resources required to achieve our business operational goals, exceed client expectations and in meeting the requirements outlined in ISO 9001.
